In need of Positive People!
In today’s day and age it is very easy to get swept away in conversations about how horrible our world is or has become, doomsday is near… yatta yatta yatta. “Did you hear about what they said on the news!? It’s such a shame. I hate the rain, I hate the heat, I’m tired, I’m sick, I don’t like him, her, them, why do they look like that, who do they think they are?” I must admit that I continuously, and consciously catch myself sliding down the nasty, nasal of negativity. I use positive affirmations to counter this spiral at first conscious awareness of it.
It is fact, that watching the news increases the blood pressure of its audience due to the intensity of negative information pouring from the television. People want to be in “the know” so they trust the manipulative mentions of the media. I believe that this is one of the main reasons for the acceptance of negative thoughts, words and actions on a massive scale.
It is so bad that when one is joyful or optimistic they are sometimes disregarded or not taken seriously and looked at as a flower child or any other silly name that negative people came up with for the happy and or enlightened.
I see it is like this. Yes, there are always things going wrong and shit is always going to hit the fan and splatter. But, when shit hits the fan, do you roll and wallow in the funky smell of it or do you take the shit, make it manure and grow a garden of new and amazing experiences and manifestations? The challenge is to take advantage of the fact that you are an individual and look at things from a fresh perspective. The negative perspective is covered over and over again from every angle. There is a “HELP WANTED” sign in the window of the positive people because we need people to be in charge of acknowledging what is going right in the world, in their lives and in the lives of others.
It is like a dormant muscle that gets to be strengthened to combat the negativity running ramped in our society. It is too easy to blame, be negative, angry, sick and offended. It is okay to smile; it is okay to be happy; it is okay to acknowledge what is right or good in your world.
For every negative possibility there are an infinite number of positive possibilities waiting to be acknowledged and explored. Think of positivity as adding to the blossom of life and negativity is taking away. It is a simple equation for life, you get what you give, positivity adds up!
